The story is NOT what happened…

The story is HOW what happened transformed you.

Hi, I’m Adam.

I share my creativity with the world as a magician, poet, speaker, workshop facilitator, and author of
Riddle & Rhyme

By unpacking my own story, I’ve learned the power of integrating lessons into what we share with the world.

You’ll find some of my poetic storytelling below, but first, here‘s a glimpse into my origins.

Adam Axford magician poet author speaker

My youth was spent working on street markets across London with my dad.

Together, we built a business that made it to the headlines for the wrong reasons.

The consequences put dad in jail.
I remained free. For now.

I knew I had to make a change.

Fusing a passion for tricks & words with my devious creativity, I developed my craft.

Busking led to private parties, then corporate events, colleges, and conferences.

Now I’m blessed to share my wordsmith magic on stages around the world.

Sometimes my life feels like a Guy Ritchie movie.

Here’s a clip of me sharing some of my origin story in poetic fashion with the wonderful people at WestPac.

This is how magicians are made.

Choose MAGIC

Sometimes, even a magician loses touch with their magic.

As part of the Stories That Stir showcase at the Sydney Opera House, I share the journey of overcoming my darkest of times.

Magic is a choice.

And every day, we get to choose.

Step into that journey with me below.

Soul in a Digital World

With just 24 hours notice, I accepted a challenge to deliver a 10 minute piece on the theme of EMPOWERMENT.

Even with the connection and power of modern technology, many of us feel disconnected and disempowered.

Through a poetic tirade, I seek to find meaning in the mayhem.

Can you relate?

Words are MAGIC

What if a few words could change the way you see everything?

Get yours

Words really are magic.

Words have the power to shape our reality.

During lockdown, I explored the magic of language creating projects like this:

The most important stories are the ones we tell ourselves. These are the stories that can either limit us, or remind us we are limitless.

After lockdown, I hit the street encouraging my community to reconnect with  their dreams.

Magic and mental health are allies.

How many issues would we solve if we all connected with our magic more often?

In this collaboration with a local mental health initiative, we seek to bring light to a dark situation.
